Ffffflol, you're looking at something that I literally stayed up all night finishing; it's the second project for my Drawing for Graphics class.

The assignment basically was to pick one of the Grimm Tales and make a three storyboards that depicted pivotal scenes within the story, and then create a large-scale diorama from it. Both the diorama and the storyboards were required to have some kind of change in it.

AND...yeah. I had no idea how to photograph this, since if I photograph the changes possible, you'd probably be looking at a dozen photographs, at least. I don't think these pictures does any justice to it at ALL, but...I dunno how to present it in a more effective manner. >:

The diorama folds up to look like a large, old book, so I might try to show that in a seperate deviation. I dunno, though.

Done almost ENTIRELY in prismacolor pencils. xD

P.S.: why does dA always like to desaturate bright colors? D:

Wow, this is an amazing concept. I like the texture in DEM COLORED PENCILS.
Prismacolors are so soft. I grew up using/becoming used to Crayola, so when I had to use the "real thing" for class it was frustrating.
To show the whole thing off... what if you lay it on a flat surface or something with a camera overhead, and film yourself going through it? Like, only showing your hands turning the pages/manipulating it or something.

It's really cool! I like the idea of Grimm's tales being made into a diorama as you call it or in your case look like a old book. The colors are gorgeous. I'd like to see the cover, do show the book. :meow:
